about Us
_______

In 1990, a handful of men sat down at the headquarters table and talked about American cars they had, in fact, roared onto the gravel for years on the Luxembourg stock car scene. We reminisced about the good old days. We regretted having scrapped several rare bodies, especially Mustangs, most of which were discarded after just one race. Sometimes only the engine, gears, and rear axle were enlarged, and the entire body went to the junkyard.

From now on, that should change. Since it's never too late to do something right, we've decided that in the future we won't abandon beautiful and sporty Mustangs anymore; we want to restore them.

Thus, the foundation stone was laid for the creation of a club. The statutes were compiled and approved by the Contern town council. Initially, we focused on the 64-73 models under the name of

"Vintage Mustang Club Of Luxembourg".

The name remains, however, all Mustang model years are now represented in the club.

After many years with our headquarters in Contern, an opportunity for change arose following the arrival of our European Mustang Tour (organized to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Ford Mustang) in Mondorf-les-Bains in 2014 near Casino 2000. Having been a complete success, the mayor at the time, Lex Delles, offered us the headquarters in favor of the municipality of Mondorf-les-Bains, which we voluntarily accepted.

To this day we do not regret this decision at all. In 2019, it was the first organization of a Mustang meeting in the center of Mondorf-les-Bains.

Having already become a tradition in the Commune's annual events calendar, 2025 will now mark not only the organization of the 6th edition, but also the celebration of our 35th anniversary, during the weekend of October 11 and 12, 2025.

But 2025 was marked by yet another change at the head of the club. After 35 years of loyalty as club president, Nic Jungers decided to "retire" and hand over the reins to Donny Wagner (who had been the club's secretary since 1990) and who will remain the last founding member on the club's committee.

Some other changes have taken place in the committee and this new team, supported by all the members registered with the club (130 to date), will do their best to develop the club in the coming years with a single goal, to promote friendship, conviviality and exchange between members and the public within La Ford Mustang.

2025 also marked the creation of the

“EUROPEAN MUSTANG CLUBS ASSOCIATION Asbl”

of which the VINTAGE MUSTANG CLUB OF LUXEMBOURG is a founding member. Currently, no fewer than 18 European clubs (countries) are part of this adventure, whose main goal will be to spread the MUSTANG spirit throughout Europe, to bring together in the near future as many Mustangs as possible in one place in Europe, and to defend the enduring legacy of this American icon.

Donny Wagner

President + PR Manager

Long live the MUSTANG.
